Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before using our transfer services. By booking with us, you agree to these conditions.

1. General

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of transfer services provided by Petro Transfers, based in Zadar, Croatia ("we", "us", "our"). By making a booking, you ("the client", "passenger") agree to be bound by these Terms.

We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. The version in effect at the time of your booking will apply to your transfer.

2. Booking & Confirmation

All bookings made through our website, email, phone, or WhatsApp are considered requests until confirmed. A booking is only confirmed once you receive an official confirmation email from Petro Transfers.

Confirmation Time

We aim to confirm all bookings within 2 hours of receiving your request. During peak season, confirmation may take slightly longer.

3. Pricing

All prices are quoted as fixed prices per vehicle, not per person. The quoted price covers the entire vehicle for the specified route and number of passengers.

  • Prices are displayed in euros (EUR) and may vary by season (pre-season, peak season, post-season).
  • There are no hidden fees. The confirmed price includes all tolls, fuel, and standard waiting time.
  • Custom routes and special requests may be priced individually upon enquiry.

4. Payment

Payment is made directly to the driver at the time of the transfer. We accept the following payment methods:

Credit / Debit Card

No advance payment or deposit is required for standard bookings.

5. Cancellation Policy

Free Cancellation

You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 24 hours before your scheduled transfer time. Cancellations can be made by email, phone, or WhatsApp.

Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled transfer may be subject to a cancellation fee. In cases of genuine emergency, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your situation.

6. Changes & Modifications

Modifications to your booking (change of date, time, pickup location, or destination) are accepted up to 12 hours before your scheduled transfer, subject to availability. Please contact us as early as possible to ensure we can accommodate your changes. Changes may affect the quoted price if the route or vehicle type changes.

7. Waiting Time

Unlimited Free Waiting Time

We never charge for waiting, regardless of the pickup type. Whether you are arriving at the airport and your luggage is delayed, or you need a few extra minutes at any other pickup location — your driver will wait for you at no extra cost. There are no time limits and no additional fees for waiting.

8. Flight Delays

We monitor all flights in real time using FlightRadar. If your flight is delayed, we adjust the pickup time automatically at no extra charge. You do not need to notify us of flight delays — we already know. This applies to all airport pickup transfers regardless of the length of the delay.

9. Liability

Petro Transfers carries full liability insurance for the transportation of passengers. However, our liability is limited as follows:

  • We are not liable for delays caused by traffic, road works, accidents, or other circumstances beyond our control.
  • We are not liable for missed flights, connections, or appointments due to such delays.
  • Passengers are responsible for ensuring they provide the correct pickup time, location, and contact information.
  • Personal belongings left in the vehicle are the passenger's responsibility. We will make reasonable efforts to return lost items but cannot guarantee their recovery.

10. Force Majeure

Petro Transfers shall not be held liable for failure to perform any obligation under these Terms if such failure results from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, extreme weather conditions, war, civil unrest, government restrictions, pandemics, road closures, or any other event of force majeure. In such cases, we will make every reasonable effort to offer an alternative solution or a full refund.

11. Child Seats

Child seats and booster seats are available free of charge upon request. Please specify the number and type of child seats required when making your booking (infant seat, child seat, or booster seat). It is the responsibility of the parent or guardian to ensure the correct type of seat is requested for the child's age and weight.

12. Luggage

Standard luggage is included in all transfers (one suitcase and one piece of hand luggage per passenger). If you are travelling with excess luggage, sports equipment, or oversized items, please inform us when booking so we can arrange an appropriately sized vehicle. Excess luggage may require a larger vehicle, which could affect the price.

13. Complaints

We take all complaints seriously and strive to resolve them promptly. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of our service, please contact us within 7 days of your transfer:

Please include your booking reference, the date of your transfer, and a detailed description of the issue. We aim to respond to all complaints within 48 hours.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Croatia. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Zadar, Croatia.
